For years and I mean many years, I thought the best way to cut bread and meat was with a hand knife. But my son showed me, how good electric knife was, so I made the Cuisinart Electric Knife purchase. It is really great. I am able to make slices so much easier and thinner.

Electric knife was used 1 time, and stopped working. Was never able to use again since would not turn on. Never had a product fail after 1use. In order to send in for repair, must pay a fee; what is point of a warranty when you must pay to fix a defective produce.

The knife works great as long as you let it do the work don't force it. It does get warm after using a couple of minutes. I put a very thin layer of veg oil between blades and the knife worked alot easier with less heat. I read several reviews of people getting cracks in housing. I can see this if you are using and getting it hot them putting up while hot let it cool down first. But all in all I really like the knife and it's performance.

I have been using this electric knife for a month and have been happily surprised by its ease of use. I like the way it evenly and effortlessly it cuts through breads, meats and vegetables. I can’t wait to use it on thanksgiving and wow friends and family. I really like how it has a safety feature that you have to hold two areas in order for it to be operational.

I like it but it get really hot even with little use. Maybe mine is bad. I may return it and try another. It's also not as easy on the hands and arms slicing as I hoped. You have to apply some pressure.

We have had problems over the years with people either using the inexpensive (read cheap) electric knives in our kitchen or not being able to handle them. The control and excellent efficiency of this knife made some of our after Thanksgiving get togethers much better because there was no one saying bad things about the knife they were using.

The knife has an ergonomic handle that makes it easy to slice meat with. The knives are very sharp so that roast slicing is very smooth lending itself for nice precise cuts of meat. The knife and blades are easily stored in the rack that comes with the knife. The knife comes with a safety feature which prevents the trigger from engaging until the safety is released.
