I bought this knife because the independent electric knife reviews I looked at on line said this was the best for the price, it got 5 stars. I thought the handle on first knife I bought got overly warm, almost hot, when I cut up a 10# ham with it. Also this handle didn't fit well in the display case. The space for the top is too low, so the handle doesn't clip into the case and is prone to fall out. So, I sent it back and ordered a replacement. The replacement works and fits the same way. So, I guess this is the way this knife is supposed to be. The blades work well and it cuts very well, but I feel there are design flaws that really need to be addressed.

I received knife as a gift. The knife came with a holder you can sit on the counter, the knife does not fit. I sent back the knife and was sent a replacement. The same thing the knife and cord do not fit i. The holder. It seems like the plastic holders screwed in the wrong place it is to short for the lengthy of the knife. I am not sending it back again. I will just not use the wooden holder. I will keep it in a drawer.

I bought an electric knife about 35 years ago(I think that's about when they first hit the market). I don't remember the brand but I do know that it was very noisy and I had trouble keeping the blade together when it was running. I put it in the trash about 34 years ago. I thought that I would give it another try during the 2017 winter holidays. What a Difference... I was truly impressed with the speed and the lack of noise and vibration while it was running. It was very easy to slice very thin slices which impressed me the most.

Cuisinart Electric Knife feels right size in my small hand, has a safety button that prevents it from starting until you are ready. 2 knifes, slices meat or bread and it slices Angel Food Cake into perfect slices too! The stand is handy,~attractive set, feels solid and well made. I used both knives last evening prepping my London Broil for jerky and finished with slicing a piece of my angel food cake. Cuts perfectly.

This is my 3rd electric knife and first by Cuisinart. It is very beautifully made and seems like it will last for many years. (I burnt my last one out right away.) I use this electric knife when I cook for parties. It saves a lot of time and effort and makes impressive uniform slices. Guests actually complement the slicing job. The handle/motor housing got hot but not too hot to handle. I gave it a few rest periods which reminded me too rest too!

The Cuisinart Electric Knife cuts really good. But the motor gets hot very fast. I used it for around five minutes and I had to let it cool down to continue using it. I hope it last.

Cannot be bested in precisely clean even cut in slicing fresh homemade bread. In particular, whole wheat pecan and mini sunflower seed bread! No ragged edges! Cuts cleanly through nuts and seeds perfectly. This tool has permanent real estate on my counter. Never in the drawer. Needless to say it is essential for slicing turkey breast, brisket, meatloaf etc accurate thinly sliced baked ham....tomatoes cucumber.. Been using this knife for at least fifteen years! I recently gave my first one to a friend that was hosting his first Thanksgiving Dinner! Of course, I cannot be without one. Nothing has changed, it is still excellent.

I purchased this knife, love the way it cuts but it smells hot like something electrical burning after about the 3rd or 4th slice in a very tender roast. Roast was only 1.75 pounds. By the time I finished slicing the roast, the knife was smoking. Needless to say, it has been returned.
