Great product; works very well, but...it was discontinued; so there are NO replacement BLADES. Likely because Cuisinarts thought is so it can sell more electric knives (?). Sadly though, this knife actually received a better customer rating than the new replacement.
I am sad to see this product is discontinued. I absolutely love this knife set. I use one blade for cutting homemade bread, & the other to carve turkey, chicken & ham. I has served me well for several years now & a friend recently used it & wanted to purchase one. So sorry it is discontinued.
“It’s electric…” sing along with me. This knife makes it so easy to carve the turkey, slice home made bread, and even prime rib. It’s easy to clean and the storage rack looks nice too.
I received a Cuisinart electric knife, Model CEK-40 last year for a birthday gift. Worked great & had two different nice SS blades to choose from. However, after using it a couple times the plastic on switch broke & fell off. Didn't look like it was designed particularly well. I was pleasantly surprised when I called customer service, they said they were shipping me a newer model to replace the broken one! And from photos, it appears the CEK-41 has a superior on/off switch, so I am quite pleased & looking forward to receiving it. It appears that Cuisinart stands solidly behind its products!
It cuts great. I got it mostly for slicing bread (fantastic clean cut), but it works well for meats. It is a bit noisy when cutting, but that may just be the nature of the beast (I remember one my parents had from long ago that was not as noisy, but heavy). The meat blade could be a little less flimsy. Don't use it for firm dried meats like dry salami (I tried). I still like it and am glad I bought it. Don't feel so much like I need the counter top slicer now.
