I like the two blades—one for breads, one for meats. Bread knife works very well.
The reason for 4 stars instead of five—the board on which the knife & blades are held is not designed well. The knives are hard to remove due to a plastic holder that needs twisted to remove them. But the worst part is the knife base cannot be easily positioned nor removed from its site without extreme difficulty. The fit is way too tight.

Using this knife exceeded my expectations. The bread blade works really well on tough crusted bread. Bread can be sliced thinly. The carving blade works well also, and can produce thin slices.

Without a doubt the best electric knife I have ever owned. Powerful, easy to hold and use, and smooth cutting it is great. Just used it on our Easter Ham and it made slicing so easy. With two blades it works for breads and meats. I used it on meatloaf the other evening and instead of crushing the meat it sliced smoothly through.

I purchased the Cuisinart cek-40 electric knife as a replacement for a worn out knife of another brand, mainly slicing bread, I've been making my own breads for years and needed a knife that will handle the task. My past experiences with the Cuisinart products is very good. Bread loaf number 1 very impressive sliced the loaf like a hot knife through butter.
