I have had several Cuisinart grind and brew coffeemakers and I liked them all. The only drawback with this unit, and to be it is a big one, is that it does not have a hot plate beneath the pot, like my others did. It is a stainless steel thermal pot. I find that unless I fill it full of hot water to get it hot just before brewing, it only keeps the coffee hot for a few hours, like 2 hours. Preheating the pit before use extends that to 3-4, but preheating isn't an option if you want to use the built in to her to grind and brew whole your still in bed. Having to preheat the pot neabs the auto brew function is nearly worthless unless you like warm coffee.

I bought this less then a year ago and not 4 months into having it the coffee no longer drips after grinding it. It literally comes out a light brown weak weak weak coffee. It’s not even drinkable. I have since been using it without the grinder. I definitely need to call for a replacement but have not yet because I don’t want to be without a pot. Any advice?

While shopping for a replacement for our coffee maker, we came across a cuisinart. Since the name has always been well known and we’ve owned cuisinart products in th past, we decided to try it. We especially liked the bean grinder on the top. This height difference untortunately forced us to put the coffeemaker away from our coffee center. We really didn’t care for the coffee flavor we were getting. The water reservoir was a bit difficult to fill due to location of it. The top of the carafe was way too smart to allow you to fit your hand and sponge in it to clean it. Overall, not too happen with the coffee make.

We had one of the original Cuisinart grind and brew units for many years and loved it. We finally decided to upgrade to a new unit and I must admit I am disappointed. The grinding and brewing features work great but the coffee just does not seem to get as hot and maintain the heat like the old one. I find myself heating coffee in the microwave a few minutes after it was brewed. The old unit kept its heat much better.

This was the best coffee maker ever. Bring it back!! Mine just started leaking water out of the bottom plate, but I've had it 4 years and would buy again.

After years of buying a replacing Kurig’s; I finally got wise & bought a “regular” coffee maker. I can use whatever beans I want instead of those stupid K-cups & they get ground fresh for every pot. Has a timer too, so we can wake up to a fresh pot of coffee.
