We've had this for about a month now. It is a very substantial machine with a great grinder! It does take some getting used to in that the coffee strength button really makes a difference in the end result, so it takes trial and error. Also, you have to line up the arrows on the filter basket. Those arrows are dark and hard to see. A suggestion for product improvement would be to make the arrows a contrasting color. But once you get these little things figured out, you will have a delicious pot of fresh coffee! This is our 4th Cuisinart Grind & Brew and definitely the best one. I love not having to add beans and clean out the bean cup every time I make coffee.

You're selling units that you no longer make, without saying so. Your unit was broken when it arrived. Your support sucks - they don't know anything about the unit, they just repeat what's in the manual.

Impossible to get all the coffee out of the carafe. Being opaque you are not sure if all the coffee is out of the pot....so danger of over runs.
Do not make more than 10 cups at at a time...Danger of over runs. Never brew the 12 cup limit.
Controls do not light up and hard to see.
Hard to see water levels (I kept a flash light near by)...you can not use carafe to pour water in as ALL the water does not come out....means utilizing another vessel to pour water....and coffee cup measures do not relate to measuring cup measures. So adding more time to prepping.
No heating for base of carafe...carafe keeps warm about 45 minutes.
Like it holds 1/2 lb of beans.
Like burr grinder....but noisy.
Requires more cleaning than other brands.
Only used two weeks before getting another brand of brew and grind machine!
Would NOT recommend. Sorry.

No control over the grind setting, only makes coarse grind. Difficult to add water, the narrow opening and carbon filter plus the overall depth of the machine cause spills. the bean holder slope is too shallow, anything but very dry beans get stuck or won't slide into the grinder throat. Yes it does make coffee.

I wanted to buy a 12 cup Automatic Grind and Brew coffeemaker and will want to get another one when this third one dies. I hope they will restart that production line.

We purchased this (1) very expensive coffeemaker to replace an older, less expensive, worn out Cuisinart Grind & Brew that we loved. I'm not fond of the thermal carafe. You (2) can't use it to determine how much water to put in the reservoir because the whole thing is stainless, the carafe (3) could be a bit more insulated to keep the coffee warmer, and the (4) pour spout is challenging in that you almost have to tip the carafe on its head to pour all of the coffee out of it.
