I researched several burr grinder coffee makers in the past. I had an older model years ago, and then bought into the Keurig craze.
I love waking up in the morning and amazing coffee is waiting for me. I had to experiment with the beans and strength settings, but it was not an inconvenience. The coffee stays hot into the afternoon and doesn’t taste burned. Cleaning is easy and takes just a few minutes. Even my husband loves it and he was skeptic at first.

First, this coffee maker works great and makes great coffee; however, if you're the type of person that either doesn't have the time or the inclination, this coffee maker takes a lot of time to keep it operating at its peak. When we first looked at this product, we were interested in the wide differences in comments about the coffee maker. I understand now why; we have to seriously clean this coffee maker every day and clean the grinder at least once a week (that information is included in the instruction manual). If you don't have time to do all the cleaning, you're not going to be happy with this coffee maker. We don't mind the work, so we love it and recommend it for anyone that loves coffee and has time to do the work.

I have long been pleased with the overall performance of this model. Each one has lasted about 7 years of daily use. It is great to set the timer and have freshly ground an brewed coffee ready when I get up in the morning. Only one issue that is unsolvable: with heavily roasted beans (Starbucks French Roast) the grind chute to the basket MUST be thoroughly cleaned after every hopperful of beans.
