This is my second Grind & Brew Thermal coffeemaker. The new model has a number of tweaks that improve on its function. The coffee chute has been reconfigured and, as a result, requires less frequent cleaning. The hopper is larger, so it needs to be refilled less often. Finally, the carafe spout is larger, resulting in a faster pour. Otherwise, this is still the same excellent coffeemaker as my first. It makes an excellent cup of coffee, largely because of the variety of settings which allow me to tweak it just the way I like it. It brews a full pot in a bit less than 10 minutes, and the coffee stays hot in the thermal carafe for at least 4-6 hours. (None of that burned coffee taste from a glass carafe on a hot plate.) This coffeemaker has a bit of a learning curve but once you master it, you’ll love the coffeemaker and the coffee you’ll be drinking.

We bought this grind and brew to replace our previous cuisinart grind and brew. We are very happy with the new machine! We like the fact that it can brew 12 cups and has the ability to regulate strength. Also like that it can hold up to ½ pound of beans at a time. We have had this machine for 3 weeks and love it! We have already recommended it to our daughter and son in law and now they own one also!

I have to admit I had difficulties attaching the hopper onto the coffeemaker, when I first got it. Instructions could have been more detailed about connecting it properly. After a while with playing around with it, it became a breeze. Sure makes a great cup of coffee though.

This was a replacement for one we had and loved. Had a minor glitch didn’t work one day but turned on and off and so far so good. Makes the best coffee .

This is a repeat purchase of the same model. Love that it lasted for many years. Only complaint it the lid on the pot leaks at times when pouring. Replaced because grinder wore out. Bought the same model because I was pleased with the first.

I just replaced a previous model I had for almost ten years. I did my due diligence to see what was available in grinder/brewers, and the Cuisinart still shines as one of the best. If you appreciate coffee brewed from freshly-ground beans, you can't beat the convenience this appliance offers. That being said, it does required careful maintenance. High-quality beans are oily and thus the mechanisms need to be kept clean and free of build-up. Personally I find it a small price to pay for a great cup of coffee. My previous unit had simply worn down, and it was more economical to purchase a new one at this point. The new one has a few minor improvements but is pretty much the same. Over the years I found I needed to replace some of the moving parts, as gaskets and such would wear down. Another plus is the size, which doesn't take up a lot of real estate on your counter.
