Love the Burr Grinder on Top, but the Carafe Leaks

There are many features I love about this coffee maker and a few that I don't. I love the burr grinder on top of the coffee pot and having the coffee beans ground right before the coffee is made. Always makes for a fresh tasting pot of coffee. At first I wasn't sold on the stainless steel thermal carafe, but I love that it keeps the coffee warm for well over two hours! I also feel as though this coffee pot is very easy to operate and program. The few features I don't like is that the carafe ALWAYS leaks on the first cup of coffee poured. That is VERY frustrating! I also find it odd that you can fill the water reservoir WELL over 12 cups and it will overflow the coffee pot, without any type of safeguard or stop. Why have such a large water reservoir for a 12 cup carafe, without a safeguard or stop? I also dislike that it's too much of a production to make less than a half pot of coffee. If I just wanted a cup of coffee, I have to clean the entire machine before being able to grind the beans for 2 cups of coffee. Lastly, the grinder is extremely loud, but I imagine all burr grinders are that way. I like the coffee pot, but I wouldn't purchase it again or recommend it to a friend.

The carafe drips every time you pour a cup. It is also nearly impossible to fully empty the pot with the lid on.

Everything is fine except that the coffee flask drips onto the table when I pour into a cup. I tried tightening the lid, pouring at different angles, but nothing worked.

I love the ease of the burr grind cuisinart coffee maker. This is our 3rd cuisinart grind machine and it is much easier to operate as I don’t have to load the beans manually for every pot. As the beans are used it is very easy to take off the bean holder and brush out the Shute. This machine makes exceptional coffee & I like the ability to change the strength.
