Bought this just before Christmas and chose it due to ability to have fresh ground coffee and brew only amount we need. Love these features as well as it being programmable . Only shortfall is the carafe has a large lip around it and we generally cannot pour the last 1/2 to gull cup out.

for the money I thought this was a great compared to others on the market, but there could be some additional features added. I have also had a problem with the Carafe...it leaks. Also, when brewing, there have been at least 3 or 4 times where the coffee has not made it into the carafe and has poured all over the counter and floor. I would never buy this again, and I used to be a huge cuisinart fan!

I purchased this coffeemaker because I was grinding my own beans anyway. I love the ease and features of machine, but there are two things I am not happy with. The coffee does not stay hot for very long. I thought with the insulated carafe that this wouldn’t be an issue, but it’s awful. I also think the coffee tastes much better when using ground coffee instead of the machine grinding it and brewing. This defeats the whole purpose of the machine, but the coffee almost tastes burnt when the machine grinds it.

I had a Cuisinart DCC 700, which I really enjoyed. However the burner suddenly went out and I decided to get the DGB 900, and it works well. However, I don't like the fact that I have to fill the carafe with hot water, before brewing. The burner turns off when it finishes brewing, so it doesn't get a chance to warm the carafe. If I don't warm the carafe the coffee doesn't stay hot. If this one quits working I will go back to the 700 series equivalent.
