No warming plate

This Cuisinart grind and brew thermal coffee maker is a nice coffeemaker. It is very easy to set up and very easy to clean. It does tend to use a lot of coffee beans. My biggest complaint with this coffeemaker is that there is no warming plate. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee semi warm, but within about 45 minutes of brewing, the coffee in the carafe is luke warm and I end up having to microwave it to warm it up. I wish I would have read reviews more before purchasing, because I may not have bought it due to not having a warming plate. Overall it does make a nice cup of coffee.

New Cuisinart Coffee Maker is a Big Improvement

We purchased a Cuisinart burr grinder coffee maker to replace our old Cuisinart coffee maker. We have been a fan of Cuisinart coffee makers for more than 15 years. This newer model provides a burr grind that makes the coffee richer and more full bodied.
In addition, this newer coffee maker allows us to put several days of coffee beans into a sealed hopper. Here. We can put 2 days worth of beans into the sealed hopper at a time. Doing this, we only need to add beans every other day.

I have always liked Cuisinart products but this one really disappointed me
It brews to strong even on light
It brews but Luke warm and I have to micro wave every cup I pour.
the carafe doesn't keep it warm.
And the brew basket is broken after just a couple of months

We have different amounts of coffee on different days so it's easy to just re-set the number of cups needed. Only took a week to really get the hang of it. The user has to remember there is 2-3 second pause before the beans are engaged. My husband thought it wasn't working the first time he pushed the button. There is always a drip or two when removing the pot. For our use, we now know that once the 1/2 lb. of coffee is gone, we need to clean the "dust". It does tell us if we forget. Smart machine!. We've actually owned Grind and Brew pots from Cuisinart for 15 years and wouldn't pick anything else. This one replaced an 8 year old machine and 3 year old pot.

Just full of design flaws. A total nightmare to clean. The stainless carafe is a total joke. How is it Yeti, and countless others, can get a stainless container right, yet the one you design can’t pour out all the coffee due to the ridiculous lip at the top. Another nightmare to clean. And the “auto stop” feature that is supposed to allow you to pour a cup before it’s finished brewing doesn’t work due to the carafe lid design. Heck, when it’d finished brewing it still leaks coffee onto the warming plate when removing the carafe to pour.
If you want a grind a brew, just take the time to grind your own coffee and brew it in a normal coffee maker. You will actually save more time in cleaning than using this overpriced, poorly designed, machine.

Not as good as old Burr & Grind

I had my last burr & grind for about 11 years until it finally died. It was great! The new 'improved' version leaks water in the front right corner after brewing. Also, I have the carafe version and the plate that it sits on gets really hot. I don't remember the carafe version that I had before having any heating element in the plate.
