This range has been a real blessing -- simple controls, easy clean up, accurate temps -- I cook for a gang of 30 or more every other week, and this range makes cooking a real pleasure! Great range at a great price -- does it get any better than that?

I will start with the good: it is a nice looking well built gas range for the money! Here's the bad: I had to replace the control board after only 3 years - not acceptable. The black top looks good, but the burners get stained and discolored - yes that's right, the glossy black can get messed up and has a cloudy appearance - I have tried almost everything to no end. Sad face! But, other than those, it is a good piece of equipment, very happy with its performance otherwise. Bottom drawer is a little small, and tends to allow crumbs to fall into it somehow!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cooks great, bakes evenly, the only thing I dislike is that the Cast-Iron grates on the burners are hard to get clean once they are dirty.

I have had this stove for almost 6 months, and I Love it!! The closed burners are wonderful, the oven temperature stays very consistent. I haven't tried the broiler yet, so can't comment on that. The self clean feature worked perfectly!My only complaint is that the finish nicked pretty easily, so mine stove now has a slight mark on the top. Otherwise works perfectly and a very good value for the money!

This stove is perfect, it cleans like a dream, cooking is so easy. I love the power burner. If you are late starting sometine it is a quick fix using it. The oven never overbakes anything, or heats up the kitchen. It is also very quiet. I love the ease of using the controls. It is the perfect range!

My wife and I have always wanted a gas stove. We finally changed over from electric to this one and couldn't be happier with it. Things heat up much faster on it verses the electric one we had. And the oven cooks everything far better than ever. Very easy to use. The gas bill didn't even change like we thought it would and we use it often! The only thing I could ask Whirlpool to improve on is the bottom storage compartment be a little bigger and the door to be somewhat heavier. Other than that, gas ranges rock!

This is a pretty plain-jane oven, but it's what I wanted and it gets the job done. It was one of the only stovetops that didn't have grates all the way across the top, so I can rest my spoons and utensils in the middle, between the burners. The day after it was installed, I baked with it for the first time, and noticed a high-pitch squeal while it was heating up (only the oven, not the burners or broiler). It was almost like that anti-loitering noise directed toward teenagers - just at the edge of perception, but if your hearing's good enough it immediately drives you completely nuts. The repairman couldn't hear it, but he replaced all the gas valves, and the noise dissipated. Otherwise, it seems like it's doing fine. I've had it for two weeks, no other complaints.
