hard to keep clean

I've had this stove for quite a while now- should've returned it two days after getting it! It works OK, but the oven smells of gas for about 5/6 minutes after turning it on - and this still happening after years of use- and the top is a disaster, impossible to keep looking good. The grates peeled off, the coating scratched just from regular cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner. No wonder it is discontinued! Just venting here!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to cook and and very easy to clean. Choose just the right temp you want and well distributed heat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently moved to a new home that has all new Whirpool appliances installed. I had a flat glass top range previously. I prefer the new gas range over the glass top. It heats up quickly, is easy to adjust the temperature & is easier to keep sparkling clean.

I enjoy using my gas range

Favorite features include the "cook time" and "start time". I can place a simple meal in the oven to start and it will turn itself off. The "warm" feature allows me to place a meal in a warm setting until everyone is home for dinner. Then of course, I set and use the timer to alarm for other household/personal activities. (like when I color my hair :).It is a simple design which suits my needs and it was affordable. Thank you

Cooking With Gas!

We purchased this item recently and it was a cinch to install. My wife loves cooking with it and has really enjoyed how easy it is to use. She was a little worried about the kids using it at first because of the open flames, but they have all adjusted slightly to make it user friendly and safe. She says it is so consistent with cooking times that it is a dream. We have 5 kids and she is always cooking and baking something with it and still smiling :) She has even been doing some water bath canning on it and says it's so easy and convenient.

This product is hard to keep clean and has slippery grates.

The oven works great, heats evenly. The stove bangs and pops when the oven is heating. The grates are slippery. I am always afraid the pan will slip off the grate and spill. The surface of the burners is hard to clean. I would not buy this product again.

The oven is a very good size. I can cook a very large turkey with no problem. The stove is easy to use and east to keep clean.
