Wish I had bought one of these 50 years ago!

This toothbrush is awesome. It does feel like you just came from the dentist. The timer feature ensures that you give each quadrant of your mouth an appropriate amount of cleaning as opposed to manually brushing where I would often get lazy and "get it over with"! Very pleased with the Sonicare and highly recommend it to all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dentist Clean Feel

I love the way brushing with this toothbrush makes my teeth feel! The design is great too! Maybe you have to be a nerd to appreciate but the induction charger elliminates contact corrosion and seals the whole unit nicely. My teeth are also noticibly whiter... Very noticibly! I'm never going back to a regular toothbrush. WORTH EVERY DOLLAR!
Pros: dentist clean feeling, induction charging, whitens teeth

I do like the performance of this product. I bought it after getting braces as I wanted to make sure I could get my teeth as clean as possible. That being said the cost of the replacement heads is outrageous. If I would have looked at this prior to my purchase this would definitely have influenced which brand I purchased. Also the replacement heads do not go on to the shaft with ease like the original ones did. They all fit on the shaft differently. Some almost feel like they are going to break the shaft getting them on.
Pros: cleaning ability
Cons: cost of replacement brushes, the fit of the replacement brushes

This is my third Sonicare. I have been happy with all the Sonicares. My dentist recommended the Sonicare. I purchased the current model because my previous one's brush stem became loose, which happened after I used one of the color code rings. I will not use the color code ring again. I must have pushed the brush head hard against the stem which caused it to become loose. I do not really think the brush stops plaque build-up, but my teeth do feel cleaner than using a regular toothbrush. I do have a hard time with holding the brush handle; my hand keeps slipping to the top, and it would be inconvenient cleaning the brush if I didn't rinse it under the water. I do like the sanitizing feature.
Pros: like the 3 levels of brushing, sanitizing feature
Cons: hard to clean handle w/o immersing in water., do not like color code rings

Seems to do a good job for what it was designed for

I feel that I get my teeth cleaned, but this tooth brush design over "the competitors" is not as good. I never got water or paste splatter with the "competitor" when removing it from my mouth with the unit still on. I think that had to do with a spinning brush vs a up and down brush movement. I find that I have to turn the unit off in my mouth first before removing it from my mouth so that I don't have to wipe down my mirror. Then it is usually hard to find the button and turn the unit off. Maybe you can do something with the button to have it easier to feel, since one cannot see the switch while it is one's mouth.
Pros: cleans teeth
Cons: too much back wash when removing from the mouth.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
