This is the second sonicare I have purchased. The first one lasted about 15 years. It still works, but it was time for a new one with all the bells and whistles. I love the uv sanitizer for the brushes, and the travel charger-plus my teeth look whiter than ever!

I always took very good care of my teeth, yet after too many years of dedicated cleaning the enamel got so thin, it discoloured in just few weeks after cleaning. My dentist recommended Sonicare, and after 3 months of usage, he was completely satisfied with the results.

My dentist's hygenist recommended this product to me as a way to keep plaque from building up on my teeth. I will know the results as of next week, when I have my 6 month follow-up cleaning.
Pros: product makes me want to use very thoroughly
Cons: would not be good for travel as needs charger

After 5 months it no longer works

After 5 months of use, the brush quit working. It was given to me as a gift. The battery is charged, but it will no longer turn on. I loved the brush while it was working, but if it lasts no longer than 5 months, that is a shame.
Cons: durability, on off switch can be difficult to press

The dock that holds the tooth brush base and heads gets pretty grimey quickly - some better design to allow drainage so water doesn't collect would be great. Otherwise, no complaints.

The toothbrush worked great, until i changed out the brush head. I removed the brush head and put the new one on, and now it sounds like a jack hammer. We bought two of them, and the same thing happen to the other one as well. I have not used the toothbush very much since then, it is really uncomfortable to use. It is really loud, and vibrates very powerfully in your hand. I would not buy another Phillips toothbrush unless i knew this design flaw was corrected.
Pros: this toothbrush will get your teeth clean!
Cons: it broke after changing the brush head.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
