A must have

This toothbrush is so great. I cant imagine ever using a manual toothbrush again. Every night and every morning brushing gives me the satisfaction as if i had just had my teeth cleaned at the dentist. At one point, the brush was giving a weak power output, but Philips immediately sent a replacement. I highly recommend this product. It is a must have.

Very impressed with the Phillips Sonicare toothbrush

I purchased the Phillips Sonicare toothbrush after recommendation by my denial hygienist and some research of my own. It takes a few days to get use to. It tickled my gums at first. The results are very smooth teeth and refreshing feel after brushing. It is a little pricey.
I would recommend this to a friend!

getting better, but the batteries still need improvement

We used to own older versions of the sonicare, and they worked very nicely until the batteries could no longer hold a charge -- they went dead even after one brushing -- and this was after owning them for only about 1.5 years.
We haven't own a sonicare for about five years, and then we got these for a really good price at a wholesale store. We're overall quite pleased with them: smaller, lighter, they really clean your teeth well, and have the extra whitening option, which is nice. But, as with the older versions, the batteries are starting to act weird, and we've only owned them for about 7 months now. They're holding their charge better than the older version, but the charging can sometimes be sporadic. One time it only takes a few hours, the next time it could be nearly 24 hours. We follow the directions on battery maintenance/recharge, etc. So, I'm not sure if it's a design flaw or what.
Nonetheless, I still recommend purchasing one.
Pros: gets teeth very clean, relatively compact, rechargeable
Cons: battery recharging is sporadic
