This product works well to keep plaque in check.

Although the toothbrush took a bit to get used to, will probably never go back to a standard toothbrush. The sonicare works well getting food particles from in and around my dental work. It has also reduced plaque build-up between dental checkups.
Pros: keeps charge
Cons: toothpaste splatter everywhere, stops half-way through brushing

I was a little hesitant on spending more money than I normally would on a toothbrush, however it was one of the best purchases Ive ever made and money well spent. I felt an immediate difference and will without a doubt continue to use Phillips Sonicare products for years to come!

I have tried many manual toothbrushes before trying many electric ones. They mostly all performed as expected until I tried the Sonicare, which completely exceeded my expectations. I could never go back to a life without mine.
I recently had a dissatisfying dental cleaning appointment with spots of rough tooth surfaces remaining for my tongue to feel. After just one session with my Sonicare, the rough surfaces were completely gone!
I no longer felt the need to curse my complaint to the dentist about his terrible hygienist! Mom would be proud!
Pros: ease of use, complete cleaning results every time, conveniently designed
Cons: once you try a sonicare you cannot go back!
I would recommend this to a friend!

My previous Sonicare lasted less than a year.

I purchased a Sonicare system that included 2 handles last year. One handle was shared by our two teenagers and the other handle was used by me and my wife. Within weeks of each other both handles started getting very loud and then the brushing effectiveness declined and then after another week stopped working altogether. The output shaft that the brush head connects to seemed to have de-coupled from the motor. So, after about 9 months of use both Sonicare handles stopped working. If the new pair I bought break in such a short time, this will be the last time I purchase a Sonicare product.
Pros: brushes teeth well.
Cons: broke in less than a year.

...on teeth and gums. My only issue is the on-off switch. Its a pain to use; it requires a lot of force to use. Not always feasible if you have limited strength in your fingers or they are wet from brushing.
Pros: cleans really well!!
Cons: on-off switch

My son received his Philips Sonicare from the Orthodontist and has used it every day since. It really helps keep his braces clean. We even bought more heads so everyone else in the family could use it too.
