When it is timer to become very serious about dental hygene you MUST have a Philips Sonic Care unit
Pros: no musss. no fuss thorough teeth hygene

Soo, after using the Sonicare for about 4 months ahead of my 6 month dental check up; The hygenist asks during the cleaning, "are you using a Sonicare by chance? Your teeth are exceptional!"
Pros: consistant timed brushing/cleaning

The Cadillac of Toothbrushes despite poor durability

My husband and I have owned four of these toothbrushes in the last three years. We can clearly see improvement in the clean feeling, white ness of our teeth and are getting better dental checkups. Unfortunately, the toothbrushes don't last very long. We have had to replace 3 of the four in under two years. One of the broken toothbrushes was covered by warranty so customer service at Phillips sent us a free replacement. The replacement broke in under a year.
Pros: very clean whiter better checkups
Cons: break down within a year or two despite high price

This is personally my second Sonicare toothbrush. I only got a new one after 11 years with my old one. 11 years! My refrigerator hasn't lasted that long. There were no problems, I just felt like it was time to upgrade to a new one. I love my new one, and have no complaints. I go twice a year to the dentist and I have gone from "you may need surgery" to "your gums are so much better. " I just.watched a Sonicare video that gave me even better instructions on how to brush- angle the bristles to the gums! I thought it made sense to brush the "gunk" away from the gums, but I was wrong!

I have tried several kinds of electric toothbrushes. The first one was the usual one purchased from dentist. I considered it fair, therefore, not interested in purchasing another one. I really love the brush head because I have a small mouth. I couldn't get to the back teeth. This brush is perfectly shaped for my mouth. I followed directions and found it easy to use. It is a little pricy but cheaper than the original one I purchased from dentist. Its worth the price for me.
Cons: none yet
