I have used another popular brand for many many years. It just never cleaned the plaque off my teeth. I could look in my magnifying mirror and see (even after the 2 min. timer w/smiley faces) all the debris that was not removed. I asked my dentist about the Sonicare, and she gave it rave reviews, so I bought one. It was the best purchase I ever made! I love how well it cleans my teeth.

This sonic care toothbrush does what it suppose to... The Dentists say our teeth and gums are doing much better than before we used this toothbrush. It's great!
Pros: does a great job of cleaning!
Cons: the replacement heads are way too expensive!

This Phillips toothbrush feels like I'm massaging my gums. It is especially good in making me brush my teeth for the specified amount of time. I think I used to THINK I was brushing longer than I was.

This is my first Sonicare toothbrush, after using a competitor's rotary model for over 15 years. I'm blessed with nice white teeth, but they have gotten whiter with Sonicare. I also notice that tea stains are not accumulating to the degree they used to. On my dental hygienist's recommendation, I floss prior to brushing. Many times I'm surprised that the Sonicare manages to find hidden bits of food that I felt sure would have been removed by flossing.

Great for home and travel!

I travel often and wanted a great toothbrush that would travel easy and hold a charge a long time. Well, I found it in this product. I am extremely happy with the performance at home and in particular when I travel. Sometimes, when I travel I do not have the time to try to make sure I charge the toothbrush. I even just returned from a short one week cruise and never had to charge the toothbrush the entire week. That is convenience.
Pros: travels well, wonderful travel case, charge last a long time
Cons: price is a little expensive
