Everything I needed!

I feel compelled to write a review because of all the negative reviews I read nearly kept me from buying this product. I've only had the fridge for about six months so Ive gotten used to the different layout with no repair problems to date. This product is replacing a 17.5 year old whirlpool.I'm a single male in his sixties with few other adults and even fewer children using this product.I did my research from many different sources, read a few positive reviews and most of the negative. The negative comments that I remember had some merit; the drawers are flimsy but after filling them with food I realized they were more than sturdy enough. The milk holder will handle 2 gallons of milk but it is a squeeze. The freezer door doesn't always close with my first push but a small tap with my knee will finish the job. I think the fridge is very quiet, and I have the controls set at very low settings and the fridge and freezer temps are right where they should be. The bottom ice maker does a great job but then I don't use a lot of ice but my friends like it a lot. My only complaint so far is that when the ice maker tray is full and you open the top freezer draw, ice will fall to the bottom of the freezer but I can get it out, not sure if everyone could or would care. Because of all the mechanical complaints I did buy the extended warranty which is not what I normally do.Bottom line I think this is a fine fridge and I hope it stays that way. Hope this helps someone!

What a gem of an appliance

The ease of seeing what is available in the refrigerator is amazing., no bending to see what is in the rear of the refrigerator. The freezer is very user friendly with easy access to several different baskets for different types of food. I love my new Whirlpool refrigerator freezer.

I am in love with my new refrigerator . It looks perfect in my kitchen, and very quite, sometimes I'm not sure it's running, but all food is at the perfect temp. when I go to use it. A perfect purchase for me.

A counter-width would have looked better but it would have been costlier. I would have liked stainless steel door handles, but they also would have cost more. So for the price, I am satisfied.

great features, but poor quality

We bought this refrigerator just under two years ago and loved all the features. Nice doors, quiet, very usable space. However it developed a refrigerant leak just out of warranty and the repair cost is nearly half the selling pnrice.
