Great Luandry Unit, but need a Dryer Buzzer!

I have a problem with my new Frigidaire Laundry Center. When the Dryer is done with its cycle, we do not know it because there is NO audible buzzer to alert the user. My wife & I are both very busy people and when we start it, we need to know as soon as the cycle is finished so clothes do not wrinkle from setting too long. Love the product otherwise, its our 2nd unit. I need the Laundry Centers electrical schematic so I can install a timer controlled buzzer. Wish their engineering or tech support would have a solution. Thank You - Barry :)

Very Happy with my purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this about 6 weeks ago. I was worried about the "locking" feature on the washer, because of previous reviews I read. But now I'm very comfortable with all the features (no agitator means bigger loads!). I can just pause the machine and add something if necessary and then start it up again. No problem!

Dryer is wonderful, washer another story...

I purchased this about a month ago. I am very pleased with the dryer. It dries quickly. The washer on the other hand is a different story. I am completely dissatisfied with the washer. All of the settings take at least an hour to wash, which is too long in my view. There is also no quick wash. There is no compartment to put fabric softener, so you basically have to guess at the rinse cycle. Also when you wash black clothes, the washer leaves white chalk marks on your clothes when the water drains. The washer is way too noisy as well. Lastly, there is an automatic water level and the level does not seem to cover the amount of clothes put in the wash. I would not purchase again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I regret any frustration and inconvenience you may have experienced, pepperlemon. Estimated cycle time for normal is 60-90 minutes, casual 40-60 minutes. No matter what the estimated time of the cycle is, if, during the rinse, the machine detects over sudsing, the rinse cycle may extend itself until the situation is resolved, so it is important to use no more than the recommended amounts of HE detergent. As there is no dispenser for fabric softener, you may find using a fabric softener dispensing ball to be helpful (page 7 in your Owner’s Manual). A residue or powder like substance on dark fabrics can be caused by; some granular detergents can combine with hard water minerals to form a residue, overloading the washer, detergent not dissolving. Some preventative measures you can take are; Increase water temperature using hottest water safe for fabric, do not overload washer, use liquid detergent or use non-precipitating water conditioner with powder detergent (some areas of Vermont have very hard water). Full Size Apartment Washer/Dryer Combo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this washer and dryer for two months and I am, in general, very pleased with its performance. I love that it is a full size washer and dryer that fits in the space provided within my apartment. My only issues with it is that, in my opinion, the wash cycles are overly long and I wish I had more control over the water level instead of the machine deciding what is best for each washing load. Other than that it is an awesome purchase.

Best Small Laundry Center Ever!

Dry times are considerable longer than our prior Kenmore laundry center. We are learning to adapt. Washing machine and dryer on the plus a biiger thatn the last one we had.
