Buy the extended warranty--you'll probably need it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the size of the washer and dryer and it is easy to operate, but after 2-1/2 years the spin cycle to drain the water out of the washer does not work (the agitation cycles work, but the spin cycles don't), so we are stuck with a full tub of water and wet clothes.
Repairs could be as much as half of what it could cost us to buy a brand name good new stand-alone washer.
They certainly do not make them like they used too. Appliances should not go bad that quickly. I thought the Frigidaire brand was generally reliable, as we have several appliances to include a refrigerator we just bought, so hopefully we have better luck with that.

LOVE THE TUB CAPACITY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While it's GREAT to be able to wash king size bedding, it's difficult to reach all the way down to the bottom of the tub for smaller loads. I'm short ..my husband has to take my laundry out for me so I can put it in the dryer. One negative comment is ..there is NO INDICATION of where you are in the washing cycle ..no light ..no moving dial ..you just have to guess how long the cycle has been running. That's REALLY a big negative ..but the BIG POSITIVE is the tub capacity ..A trade off!

Terrible dryer
on December 2, 2017

I bought thus in July. Washer is ok,but thedryer is terrible. The high heat setting is a joke as it does not generate highheat. The drying cycles are so long that I wonder if the energy savings feature works at all. The handle to open the dryer door is so shallow that it is hard to open. if I could returnthe unit and get a full refund, I woukd and then buy another brand or separate stack units.

Forever to Wash
on December 6, 2017

A medium load of laundry took over one hour and fifteen minutes. Amount of water used during wash cycle and rinse cycle (set on high water level) not adequate to properly clean clothes. If you have all day to wash clothes have fun. I find it hard to believe the savings in water and electricity is enough to make up for the inconvenience.

I am dismayed to hear you are disappointed in your new laundry center, Biggerfish59. In a machine with a low, or no, agitator (like yours), plates or discs cause the tub to gently juggle or spin the laundry. Items will be saturated but not covered by water. The unique impeller motion moves clothes through the water, using the motion of clothes against each other to aid in cleaning. Items will be saturated but not covered by water. This is why laundry should be bunched into its own “ball”, to allow beneficial item interaction (page six in your Owner’s Manual). Estimated cycle time for a normal cycle is 60-90 minutes, casual cycle 40-60 minutes. Washers connected to water supplies with lower inlet pressure will experience longer filling times, and may not complete cycles as quickly. Ensure you are only using an HE (High Efficiency) detergent, in the amount recommended. If the machine senses excessive suds, it will enter additional rinse cycles until all suds are gone. Should you have any questions, please reconnect with us directly by calling Mon-Fri, 8a-8p or Saturday 9a-6p EST @ 877-435-3287. We are here for you. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

Cheap and Don't work on setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased a few hundred of these units for a renovations program. I have many units that don't work after install. It takes over a month to get a repair person out. They take a very long time when they do work to wash and dry.

Terrible Product!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a 40 year old washer/dryer combo unit in a rental property with this Frigidaire unit. Within 2 months the washing machine pump went out. 6 months later the water wouldn't drain and again the pump was replaced along with a switch. This didn't solve the problem. I am now waiting for a hub, clutch, tub and shifter to come in. These parts are back ordered. It appears that these parts break a lot. In the meantime, it's going on a month without the use of a washing machine. With the back order of the parts, it might be months before the unit is working. This machine is obviously a LEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Instructions

18 months later I have only now learned that 3 long beeps is an error code. No where does it list this in the instructions. The instructions also indicate a drain cycle may be needed to remove excess water, yet no mention of how to initiate a drain cycle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wish this had a fabric softener dispenser. Would be nice to have a time/timer indicator for how long the cycle would take...
