drain plug clogs - bottom freezes and leaks on floor

3 1/2 years old, drain plug clogs - bottom freezes and leaks on floor. A known problem by the manufacturer too. $140.00 for service to come out and use a hairdryer to defrost and it happened again!

Remodeled the kitchen of a home we moved into and this fridge fit perfectly into the space left behind. I had overlay doors made to match the cabinets which had just been painted white, added some great handles and it looks fabulous?.more importantly, the storage in the fridge has been perfect! This is my first French Door/bottom freezer refrigerator.I love the flexibility of the refrigerator shelves and the combination of freezer storage drawers makes everything visible and accessible. We also like having the clean look of a front without the ice dispenser and the freezer ice bin is perfect for us.

I wish we could have eliminated this feature. It takes up precious space especially in the vegie drawers. Otherwise, everything else is great.

I love the look of my refrigerator with my cabinet doors instead of just black doors. The water inside is convenient and I just love the large deli tray that pulls out for easy access.

Much Smaller than You Think

Very small interior frig and freezer. Plan on buying a second freezer so you can store more than one or two meals. Water dispenser inside the frig is a pain. Poor design since you have to open the frig for water. Dispenser also drips into the frig. This unit is panel ready, but be aware that the panels will not be flush with your cabinets because doors won't open unless it is pulled out several inches. This is not what we expected, and Kitchen Aid should make it clear that this will not be flush with cabinets. Ice maker does not hold much ice. Another reason you will need to buy a second freezer. The refrigerator unit is very loud. Lastly, the ice maker broke after about 10 months. Replaced via warranty.

Just What We Needed

We had to find a refrigerator that would accept custom panels when our old one went out. This is about the only one out there, unless you have room for a larger Sub Zero, etc. We are happy with it (after 4 months), especially considering we got it for about 1/2 of the retail price online through a major outlet because it had a scratch on the side. Of course, that makes no difference to us since it is built in. Be aware that it does not come with handles, and you can put hundreds of dollars into them alone! Per other comments, yes, you hear when ice drops. Big deal! The produce drawers are much smaller than we're used to because they slant forward in the back. Water dispenser is inside which is not ideal, but we are used to it now. And yes, it sticks out from your other cabinetry, but that is because the doors need room to open. Even at that, they will not open all the way back without pulling it out even further. If you need a door with panels, this one is fine.

I like the French doors, and I love how this refrigerator blends in with the cabinetry! The only drawback: Freezer is a little small. I went out and purchased an additional fridge/freezer for the basement.
Pros: Design, Convenient Features
Cons: Small Freezer

I bought this refrigerator as part of a partial remodel of my kitchen this fall. I am very happy with my purchase. Every feature works as described and it is very convenient to access both refrigerator and freezer items.
