This stove looks impressive for a compact range. I love how large the oven appears and the very sturdy cooking surface. You need to turn the knob all the way to get the striking sound. Minor drawback for me is it is a high range and is a little too close to my overhead microwave. So I do deep frying in a separate appliance. Also the elements are not made of a heavy enough steel and they are not sealed.

I got this as a replacement for a larger model that my mother was intimidated to use. This model is simple and sturdy and fits nicely into her small kitchen space. So far it has been great for her and she is cooking up a storm.

Nice looking has its flaws

Everything on this stove worked beautifully and as an avid cook I so wanted to love it. The issue I have is that the entire unit gets dangerously hot when baking in a very short time. I dont know if its just my stove or a factory defect but I am very disappointed in this particular model. (I have owned several GE products and never a complaint until now)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
