Overpriced

I purchased this stove and have cooked on it for 4 months. For it's performance and quality it is overpriced. The broiler is virtually useless. You need to get on your hands and knees to check your food. The grills on top are made of cheap material and appear to be rusting already. Also, if the oven is on and you try to light one of the top burners they won't light. I need to turn the oven off, turn on the burner and then turn the oven back on. It's the perfect size for a small kitchen and looks great but it rates low for functionality. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Stove!

I have had this stove for 3 weeks and it is wonderful! The oven temperature is accurate. The look is elegant and the burners are sturdy but lightweight enough that I don't even mind taking them off for regular cleaning!

We replaced our ancient gas range with this one one one ad one ad we couldn't be happier with it. Heats fast, cools evenly. Highly recommended.

We aren't ready to redo our kitchen, so we needed another small stove, this one is perfect!

Great no frills stove!

I've had this stove for almost 10 years, and I still love it! It is a basic, no frills stove, which is what I wanted and I've never had any problem with it. Also, the oven temperature is very accurate and consistent!

Great Stove

I bought about 6 months ago and I really like this stove. The problem with all 24 inch stoves is that they are not self cleaning but this one is very easy to keep clean, especially the cooktop. There are no cevices & everything can be easily taken apart and could even be cleaned with boiling water if need be. It is attractive and almost has the look of a professional stove. Two negatives: No clock or timer altho most of us have other timers on cell phones or microwaves. And the broiler drawer doesn't automatically pull out when you open the door but I don't use the broiler often. Overall best & most economical choice if you need a 24".

High Power Requirement

Overall the range seems to work ok. There are a few things that could be better. Also, see below for why I wish we had gotten a different model.
We needed to converted this to propane and had some trouble with the directions. They have 1 set of directions for all their models so it took a bit to match the right set of directions with this model. We installed this in our remote cabin which we use a solar-battery powered system for electricity. Surprise! This gas oven uses a LOT of electricity. It uses a glow-plug to heat a thermo-coupler to release the gas. Basically the oven takes about 15amps to use. Not a great choice for us and maybe not the best choice if you want to reduce your electric bill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big Stove for a Little Space

I needed a 24" gas stove and this GE stove fits the bill. It works like any large 30" stove, with no frills (didn't need any). It doesn't have a glass door, but that's not a problem. It doesn't have a time, but, that's not a problem either. I needed a basic 24" gas range and this is perfect. I've tested the baking by using a standard oven thermometer and it's always perfect. I have a fancy stove at home that doesn't even work that well. All in all it's an excellent product that works wonderfully.
