Mostly quiet operation. The chrome finish shows fingerprints so I am now in the habit of opening it with a dishtowel. It has everything I want, need, and expect. Maybe next time I buy a fridge more innovation will make me want something more--a robot dinner-maker would be nice...

This is the first side by side refrigerator I have ever had or used. It is wonderful to have running filtered cold water and ice, at my disposal. There is alot of drawer space, which I love and the doors hold so many more items than any upright refrigerator I have ever owned. The temperature is just right for what ever I need, colder milk, cooler vegetables, etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good with the bad

Very nice looking and easy to clean. Ice maker is terrible! Ice maker has the feature to crush ice, but don't use it or it will jam. And when the ice maker jams it is almost impossible to unjam due to the bad design of the ice hopper. In addition, the ice maker has a tendency to stop making ice randomly either due to an ice cube not releasing or, in the case right now, water has poured into where ice is formed and it has formed one solid chunck of ice that won't come out. Looks like I may have to manually defrost the freezer or find out how to actually remove the ice maker. Again, the refrig itself is good, but the ice maker is very poor. I would not buy this again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my new refrigerator. Ice maker in the door allows more space in the freezer compartment. Quiet-energy efficient-attractive.Some difficulty in keeping the stainless steel door spot free from the ice maker dispenser, otherwise beautiful.Would recommend all Whirlpool products.

I purchased this Whirlpool 22 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator to replace my previous Whirlpool Side-by-Side Refrigerator that lasted 27 years! All my other appliances are Whirlpool and are a name I can trust. The appearance is clean and crisp, giving my kitchen a new look. The new Bisque color matches the walls and tile in my kitchen perfectly, as if it was custom designed. It complements the other (almond-color) appliances very well.The energy savings resulted in a decrease of $18.00 in my electric bill the first month! I was more than pleasantly surprised.

nice product other than door handle

I suggest that the door handles be redesigned because it is the only negative to this fridge. The handles seem to get loose everyother dau. They also come off easily. I love that the fridge is so deep.My fridge got ruined by hurricaine.

I choose the style and the conveniences. It works great, no complaints, no problems. Ice maker great, cold water great, in-door great. Everything I wanted and not a single problem.
