The razor is easy to use, very comfortable in your hand. It is extremely quiet, no vibrations from the motor or cutting heads. This razor has eliminated my five o'clock shadow.

Great when it was new, but...

I bought this razor in January 2016 and the heads started to wear faster than the year so I bought new ones. The new type heads caused pain when shaving and lasted only a couple of months. Took 10-15 minutes to shave and still left stubble on my face. Just now went out and bought a whole new shaver. Hopefully this one will last longer.
I have always used Philips/Norelco shavers and I am actually disappointed in this razor.

Cons: new head type is not good., new heads cause pain when shaving.

Why can't I buy a replacement head?

The product pictured is what I have, 1290X, including the head as shown. But if I try to buy a replacement head I'm shown a completely different one, specced for the 9000 series/Arcitec. How do I get the same replacement head that came with the razor? Or alternatively how do I get a new set of cutters to go in it? I disassembled the head as far as I can figure out but the protective outer parts that the cutter fits into apparently cannot be removed from the head. Thanks.

Initially provided a close shave. After a few months, shave time increased from four minutes to close to seven minutes as an attempt to get a close shave. the increased time shaving does not provide any better results

Best Razor I Have Ever Had

The ability of the razor to be used wet has enabled me to try a broad array of shaving creams unavailable to users of "dry only" razors. As such I have found a combination that enables me to shave quickly and comportably.

I have had Philips/Norelco razors for about 20 years now. This one is the easiest to clean. It also has given me the best shave of those in the past.
Great Job Philips !

one of the most smooth -effort shaver in the marcket.
Many shavers make my skin irritated , but this product does not make my skin irritated not so much.
If I give two suggestions, razers should be more sharper and
should have over-charged battery protection.
But overall, this product is excellent.

this product is overrated, way overpriced and simply doesn't shave

Most im portantly it doesn't shave well at all. I have always had the norleco rotary shaver and was pretty happy with them until this one. Doesn't shave close at all, is uncomfortable, wasn't worth half the price. I could have bought five of the chaper models that would have worked better. Also no way to use it with the plug if you had to. The charger is cheap and very hard to make work
Pros: it hasnt caught fire and burned me
