This stove top is easy to clean under burners

I love it, except I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but I cannot get under the knobs clean. It is always streaked no matter what I try. I am open to suggestions. I have taken the knobs off and tried but still does not look clean.
One more thing, should I get a electrician to see why the middle burner on "simmer Lo" knob boils, the flame is higher than the "low" on the other burners. Can the flame be adjusted?

Switched from electric cooktop to gas cooktop since the electric one did not hold the temperature while cooking. Since having this cooktop there is no problem with the temperature holding. The food cooks much faster and is not a problem to clean up. It looks very stylish in my kitchen too.
