Replaced old electric cook top with this gas one before we moved in. It is really a nice piece of kitchen equipment. The reason I chose this model over the model right below cost wise, was because it was described as having a coating on it that made it easy to clean and it is. I am very happy with this product and would buy it again in a heart beat.

We had been planning to upgrade our stovetop for a long time. We finally decided to upgrade. Barry's in Somerville NJ helped us choose a stovetop and fan. We didn't want to change the size drastically, but we did want to have more working burners. Our builder's grade model only had 2 working burners for years! This new on has 5. It cleans easily. It has a lot of power. It warns you if stove is hot. It auto-shuts off if it has a problem igniting. We often have 3 people cooking at once. It's easy now. I have only great things to say about this stovetop! So glad we chose this one.

Purchased along with three other Kithchenaid products when we remodled our kitchen. The cooktop works well but not great. My problem is that even on the lowest simmer setting its to hot for sauces and soups. I had to by a defusser to help bring the heat down.

Stainless cleans easily with the wipe of a dish towel. Burners light quickly, flame is consistent. Grates also clean easily and the continuous grate makes it convenient for sliding pans away from flame. Middle burner has a double ring of flames for high heat or boiling water. Only two things detract from cooktop perfection -- the 5 burners are a little too close together to cook with more than 2 large skillets or pans and the dials are on black glass which shows every spot; clear coat stainless should have been used on entire top for easy clean-up. Minor issues, would still buy again in a heartbeat.
Pros: Performance, clear coat finish, Convenient Features, easy to use
Cons: 5 burners too tight for multiple large pans

Two burners stopped working properly within 2 years. Gas valves on and off performance. Very disappointed!

Cleans easily & has a nice luster unlike some other stainless steel cooktops. Looks great in the kitchen. Appears to be larger than our old cooktop without using more space and gives me an extra burner. I only gave it 4 stars because the knobs do not come off for cleaning making it more difficult to clean the front panel. Overall a great choice for us.
Pros: Design, Convenient Features, Performance, Easy To Clean, easy to use, Innovative
Cons: knobs are not removable
