[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great antenna for receiving many channels when channels are available. Weather and terrain affect the reception of any and all antennas. Those interferences are greatly reduced when you use a great antenna. The antenna arrives unassembled and takes minimal tools to assemble. Follow the instructions and it will go well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] had a great support team to help set-up. replaced parts free of charge. getting channels didn't know I had. will pay for itself in a few months.
I live 60 miles north of San Diego and east of Los Angeles. Most of the time we can't receive any channel from San Diego and the ones from LA are not in English. I was led to believe that we were making a good purchase, so I am disappointed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not want a giant antenna or a rotor and I live pretty far from stations in many directions. Overall it does a pretty good job. I might try to get it up higher someday, but it does the job for now. There are a few channels I was hoping to get, but I don't. I am sure higher would have been better. It is on a 4ft J-mount on a single story ranch.
This is my second one I've bought, it's for a new house. More than 50 miles from two metro areas and I get more stations than I need. Mounted in the attic an ir still does the trick. I've never had cable or sattelite and don't intend to. Great value for great reception.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I built a home-made bow-tie antenna which did a pretty good job of getting the stations 30+ miles away, but not quite good enough.
This antenna combined with ClearStream™ JUICE™ UHF/VHF AMPLIFIER SYSTEM is amazing. I now get over 80 clear HD Digital channels from instead of the 30 I received with the home-made unit.
Installation was very easy and took less than 1/2 hour.
Oh do not get those "HD Antennas" from the big box stores. You pay a lot for a piece of junk. My home-made antenna outperformed them easily, so just think what this antenna will do!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DB8 is easy to assemble and install. I am able to receive 54 channels, exceeding my expectations. With my attic installation, I receive transmissions as far as 55 miles from my home. :)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This antenna was bought to replace an old single bay antenna that was bought in the 1960's for UHF. It was mounted on a single story home in a rural area. Mounted on a chimney mount 20 feet above the roof peak, making height from ground 35-40 feet. Assembly was easy, mounting was not that bad. It is connected to an old Alliance Tenna-rotor for switching directions. The majority of the stations I watch are NE from the house. At first scan I received 28 stations. The closest being 47 miles away. With moving the antenna I can pick up Raleigh, NC stations which are 70 miles away. I just hate that when you move the antenna, the TV has to be scanned again, which has nothing to do with the antenna. I would rate this a very good antenna for rural areas. It is well balanced and not very top heavy, which is the reason I prefer this style.
