Doing the Job

My microwave works very hard - I have worn out two in 15 years. This new one is 1200 watts and sturdy and fast - i LOVE IT! At 76 years old, I need all the help I can get and I know I chose wisely when I selected the Whirlpool product. I looks efficient and performs well. So I am a happy consumer - not a usual occurrence these days!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Orange display!

Orange numbers! I spent $7000 on new Whirlpool appliances In order to match perfect only to have all installed and the countertop microwave be bright orange display instead of blue like the others. Took back. Ordered other one.

So far so good after a month's use. Very spacious inside for larger bowl capacity. I like that there is no brand label on the front of the product. But I do not like the bright orange light of the clock. Greatly contrasts with my Whirlpool double wall ovens right next to it with the standard blue color. This oven was priced very reasonably and I am hoping all goes well as there are a few comments on here where it did not (I decided not to buy the extended warranty this time around and hope it was the right decision).
I would recommend this to a friend!

No complaints about the cooking ability, but the repetitive beeps if you don't jump up immediately are so very annoying. Wish there was some way to turn the sound off, but no, there is not. Will not buy another microwave like this again. Sometimes the door does not secure soundly for no observable reason.

This microwave, made by Whirlpool, has no obvious label, and is therefore ~ $200 cheaper than a comparable microwave. Unfortunately it stopped heating food one month after installation, even though all other functions worked. Whirlpool responded in a fairly timely fashion replacing it in about 2 weeks time, and I'm hopeful the replacement will be satisfactory. This is the first time I've had a microwave malfunction in over 40 years of use! Recommended by my appliance dealer because the window design matched my new ss Whirlpool baking oven, it was installed above the oven with a ss frame surround. I do not like the bright orange clock numerals which contrast unpleasantly with the bluish clock light of the oven, the functions are convenient, especially the 30 second increments of the start button.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good while it lasted

This microwave was purchased 23 months ago. Today it stopped working. All other microwaves I have owned have lasted no less than 10 years. I will not be replacing it with another Whirlpool. It did work fine while it was working

Love my new microwave

I've had my new microwave for a few months now and am quite pleased with it. It's more powerful than my previous one so things heat faster. I'm getting used to that by now. My favorite feature is the power level cooking. I've always used that but this one is so easy.The only thing that doesn't seem to work correctly (that I've used) is the preset popcorn button. It cooks WAY TO LONG. For packaged popcorn, set it for 2 minutes, 5 seconds. It's perfect then.
