The dishwasher died after 2 years
on February 25, 2013

As a single person who does 1 load of dishes a week, I thought this dishwasher would last longer than 2 years. No such luck. It outlasted the parts waranty by 30 days. What a waste of money
Pros: Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Died after 2 years of mediocre cleaning
on February 10, 2014

Part of me is happy it stopped working because it never cleaned well. The other part of me is angry because it's only 2 years old. I've now owned 3 dishwashers, this by far was the worst in terms of overall cleaning and durability.

Slow and ineffective - But quiet!

I've had this dishwasher for about one year. It's so quiet you barely know it's running. Unfortunately when the cycle is finished, the inadequate cleaning job makes you think it wasn't running. I typically scrub and rinse all of my dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. This is the first machine that actually makes dishes come out looking dirtier. On more than one occasion I've opened the dishwasher after my wife ran it through a cleaning cycle, and have added more detergent and washed the dishes again because they looked dirty. I then get yelled at for it. The dishwasher looks nice, but I'm ready for it to die so I have an excuse to replace it, and so I quit getting harassed by the wife for double washing.
Major Complaints:
The cycles take forever (2hrs on average)
The dry cycle cannot be turned off.
Every single load I've washed has left dishes hazy and spotted (despite adding rinse aids and using several different types, and quantities of detergent).

This has to be the worst appliance I have ever got

The dishwasher worked perfectly for exactly 12 months, after that it leaked like 1 liter of water when it ran. Called the warranty guy and he said that this happens all the time. I just called again for the same issue.... my carpet has been destroyed twice!! Where is the negative star?
Not even think in getting this product... again, the worst appliance I have ever got...

Very disappointed
on July 12, 2009

We recently purchased an LG dishwasher LDS 4831 and am very disappointed with it. When it has finished washing the dishes when we take them out many of them have to be washed by hand. Before putting the dishes into the dishwasher any food etc is scrapped off and the dish rinsed.
We have owned several dishwashers over the years and never had this problem before
this dishwasher is only two weeks old.
Pros: easy to use, Style/Design

Waste of money

Dishwasher lasted almost two years. Never really did a good job cleaning dishes, but now will not complete a wash cycle (receive an error code) and the motor grones while running.... Not good. Do yourself a favor and don't by an LG dishwasher.

LDS4321ST Underwhelming
on August 31, 2009

I purchased an LDS4321ST two months ago. The one thing I enjoy about it is its quietness. Several design flaws: the bottom rack will slide all the way out and on to your floor. There should be a retrofit stop installed to prevent that from happening.
Except for the outside rows, the top shelf does not hold glasses normally. They fall over when you set them in the interior rows. When we first got it, the dishes were always wet even the next morning. We ran one cylce of rinse and have not had the problem since. You don't need rinse in cheaper dishwashers to not have them wet at the end of the dry cycle.
Cons: Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Avoid this product

The worst dishwasher I have ever owned. It does a very lousy job of cleaning anything - dishes, cutlery, glasses. A real mistake and poorly engineered product.
Pros: Style/Design
