Good solid appliance

This dishwasher work very well, fit a lot of dishes and glasses. No pre-washing is needed. I wish it had delayed start, other than that it's pretty perfect.

Fine all-around machine

The dishwasher performs well. It removes most of the sticky stuff during a quick cycle, and removes virtually everything on the longer normal cycle.
We particularly like the tone announcement that the cycle has completed.
The appliance has a clean, sleek look.
The stainless surface is not as easy to clean as we expected. It takes more effort to remove even everyday marks, smudges, etc,
The fact that this doesn't have a rubbery gasket is great! The edges of the opening are spotless and only rarely require a quick wipe to keep them that way. The rubber gasket on other brands gets back, grimy, moldy ... yech.
Overall a very good machine and would highly recommend it.

Bad Smell..

This unit cleans ok on the longest wash, but while the dishwasher is running it has a bad smell coming from it.
Pros: Style/Design

We have owned several dishwashers over the years and this is by far the best.
I would have given it 5 stars across the board but, the racks in the upper level do not want to hold our small bowls very well. I would like to have seen one row with a little more distance between the splines.
That being said, it still seams to hold more dishes than any other dishwasher we have had.

Have had Technician out too try to fix it four times already and one is coming out tomorrow to try again.

I have had this dishwasher for only 2 years. I went with LG since they are well know. Circuit board broke once and it's always having draining issues. I have to wash dishes very well before loading the dishwasher and now it stops mid-cycle.

When we redid our kitchen 2 years ago I purchased all new appliances and I had always heard good things about LG so I decided to go with them. At first I really liked my dishwasher. It is quiet and it did do a great job for almost a year. Then I started noticing black specs on my dishes. Overtime it has gotten increasingly worse. In fact, I only use the dishwasher when we have a crowd and it acts as a place to store the dishes and to do a first wash, but then I have to rewash all of my dishes by hand. Please do not buy this dishwasher. You will be disappointed :(
