Problem in first week/poor on glassware

I have owned this unit for about two weeks. We experienced a problem with the electronics in the first week that required the system to be completely shut down and then restarted. We have also been unhappy with the performance of the steam feature on our glassware.
I have been disappointed in the overall performance thus far and would not recommend it.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Dishwasher

We bought this Dishwasher about 2 months ago and we love it.. The most quiet dishwasher we have ever had and it does a great job of cleaning the dishes and utensils. I would recommend this product to anyone.

One of the best choices I've made in a long time. User friendly, super-huge capacity. Makes clean-up after parties a breeze. The silence is deafening. Great feature.

This dishwasher is wonderful! It cleans our dishes great. We had bought it for the house we are currently selling and when the house went on the market and sold we bought it in stainless for the new house! The wash cycles are long but the dishes are clean and shiny!

This product was better than I expected.

This is the third LG product that I have purchased and installed in the last year. I am totally impressed with the quality, superb engineering, quiet operation, and outstanding performance. This product performs better than the one it replaced when it was new. After reading the installation and owner's manuals, and watching the machine go through its paces, I have no doubt that it will last for many years, operating the way it does now. As an added benefit, the styling is perfect. I have made the right purchase decision.

Extremely quiet and efficient. The only downside is that it doesn't dry all of the dishes completely all the time.

Super Quiet, cleans well but...

Pros:
Love the look of this machine. It's is the most quiet dw I have ever owned. Like other reviewers have mentioned, I have often checked to see it is actually 'running' it's that quiet. It does a fabulous job at cleaning - and glasses are spotless. I do only use normal cycle though, preferring to hand wash pots and baking dishes my self.
Cons:
Does not dry very well, there is always water standing on surface edge of mugs and glasses after a cycle and if I do not empty dw within one day, all the dishes build up condensation, and there is a mildewy oder,. As a result, all dishes then need to be hand dried.

Also, its been 5 months since I purchased the dw and it still has a chemical smell when running. While it is getting less prominent, it is still off putting. Especially if I am cooking at the time.
Would I recommend it? Not sure: A few tweaks and this would be a fabulous machine.
