I am truly enjoying my new refrigerator. The bottom freezer makes everything much more accessible in the fridge and the energy savings compared to my old clunker are a great plus. The only drawback I would point out is that the silver front shows a lot of fingerprints.

Not happy with unit

We owned and used our refrigerator for approx. 5 weeks. So far I can't tell a change in our electric bill but one major complaint is the unit is very noisy. Compared to our previous 17 year old refrigerator, the noise level went from not knowing our frig. was running to almost constantly knowing the frig. is running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really like this fridge but for one design flaw

I love the bottom drawer freezer. The capacity of the freezer and refrigerator is huge. I was able to air dry two 14# turkeys side by side on the top shelf despite the 33" width. Much more functional than my previous side by side fridge/freezer. My major complaint is the ice maker. As one other reviewer noted, the ice compartment has low sides, particularly in the back so ice cubes are constantly falling out the back BEHIND the drawer. Sometimes they come out the door to the floor in front of the refrigerator and you can retrieve them, sometimes they fall to the bottom of the freezer case and are difficult to retrieve. Yesterday I was on my hands and knees with a stick trying to get the ice cubes out so they wouldn't build up. I have to manually turn the ice maker on and off because the lever to automatically turn it off would allow too much ice into the bin and there would be even more ice cubes falling in hard to reach places. This is a design flaw that should be corrected in future models! It also has an intermittent noise. I had a technician come out before the warrant was up to make sure the refrigerated was working properly and he told me it was the freon (which I tend to doubt). Anyway I do like this refrigerator but am somewhat regretting my switch to stainless steel appliances because they always look smudged.
Pros: Performance, easy to use

Purchased this unit 1 month ago. Really do like having the freezer on the bottom. Really do like the room and lay out of the top refrigerator. It is a quiet unit compared to my 18 year old refrigerator it replaced. I am REALLY pleased the the ice maker. I like the shape of the ice cubes and the amount of ice storage.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, ice maker

LG refrigerators are good overall, great design but their icemakers do not keep up with 2 people in summer, much less a large family. Also they do tend to need service more often and they are pricey to repair. Definately get extended warranty
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use

My daughter convinced me to try a fridge with the freezer on the bottom and I'm glad she did. After all you are in and out of the refrigerator much more frequently. So much easier to see and get what you want. The freezer with the pull out drawer is also very accessible. And the ice machine works great. My only issue is that when we had to reverses the door handle for our installation it did leave a mark on the door where it had been installed at the factory. It is slowly fading but still slightly visible. Other than that I think we made a great purchase!

Just what we needed!

We (just me) always wanted a side by side refridgerator. We bought an LG... it was beautiful but was more than what we needed so we exchanged it for this single door unit. We love it! It is just what my wife and I really needed. It looks great, and the inside shelves are perfect for our use. Alot of storage space in the doors for quick access and just the right abmount of storage space in main area! We did alot of research on other brands and we're completely satisfied with our choice of LG!
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Quality

Good, but not great

I like the fridge, it is big enough without being too big. It is quiet. It does not have all the bells and whistles you can get, but it was all that I could fit and afford. I feel like I got a good value for my dollar. My biggest complaint is the ice maker. It will, and regularly does, drop loads of ice when the drawer is open. What a mess, all the ice is behind the pull out drawer and I have to crawl around and get it.
