The lock on the safe froze after 5 months. Not satisfied with this product. I requested a new lock and received an invitation to review the product instead. Hmm.

It should do the job, but I won't really know until the house burns down. Surprised to learn that certain articles need to be packed into a waterproof container in order to survive a fire undamaged, but instructions don't elaborate about how heat resistant said container should be...would a microwaveable container be OK? I can only assume until I get around to contacting SentrySafe, but I think it would be helpful to have a few words about that in the instructions.

I love this safe because it's the perfect size for my important documents. It's fire resistant and waterproof also. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a very heavy product to move from one place to another. Otherwise, it is an excellent product with no other problems or complaints.
