Accepts contents of destroyed safe. I have 4 other 1170 or 1180 safes and am satisfied these units will protect in case of fire but do not consider them to be break in or theft proof nor did I expect them to be so. It would be nice if they were theft and break in proof since you do advertise your product as a sentry”SAFE”. I like that I can secure the lid using the new latch feature on the fhw40200 and not need to use a key to securely close the lid.

Our safe is stored in a spare bedroom away from heat, sun, cold and water exposure. The wall insulation expanded and caused the plastic shell to crack. It is useless now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This item holds a lot more than the low profile one that I had prior. I like being able to put in file folder and hanging file holder. Seems very well built and I like the fact that if it ever is in a fire, company will replace it at no charge because you will likely have to break it open. Handles on the side do not grip it as securely as I would like. Handles are too slippery for something this heavy.

Good size, fits piece of paper nicely. Seems heavy duty. Opening latch seems a little “breakable” but time will tell. Dont plan on opening/closing it every day anyways.
