Very hard to open.

This safe is trash. Since day one it has been incredibly hard to open. Now the handle to open the safe has broken and the safe won't open.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a hardcore fire safe for your home! I didn’t expect it to be so! It IS on the heavy side but that is due to the amount of time for the fire rating. I will definitely replace my other boxes with this!

Love the safe it's everything I wanted, it has the built in rails for the file dividers, handles to carry easy, I feel safe and secure with this. I do wish that the handles weren't so shallow because it makes it a little hard to grip, and the inside only fits letter size paper (no folders because that little bit of extra length is too big), lastly the lever feels a little too delicate and it feels like it could break if I use it when it's accidentally locked.

It is a great size to keep confidential information (marriage and birth certificates, insurance information, copies of wills, CD's of home furnishings, etc.) in. I was disappointed that it was not safe to keep medication in. Excellent for other uses.

DIMENSIONS NOT UNIFORM

They list this safe on their website as having a width of 12 inches. It's not 12 on the top and gets narrower as you go down. Therefore hanging file folders don't fit in the safe properly. Called their customer support and waited for nearly 20 mins before someone picked up just to be told they only thing they can do is bring it up in their next team meeting. Safe's handle also feels like flimsy plastic. Do yourself a favor and pass on this safe and company.

This is a well-built, strong, thick walled safe that should be able to protect my important papers. The only challenge that I have is that it is a little small for me so I was not able to use hanging folders but just manilla file folders.
