Replacement Units - 2 in less than three years

We purchased the same exact unit as we previously had since we are selling our home in the next few months and wanted the kitchen appliances to match. Also, we found it difficult to find a unit that would fit properly within the cabinet space that was already configured for this unit. We are very displeased that the last unit we purchased, which was the same exact model that we just purchased, only lasted about 18 months before the heating element burned out and we were told no repair was possible. This replaced the same unit that was existing in the house when we purchased the home back in June of 2014. So, we are now on our third unit in less than three years. This does not say much for your quality control.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchase this 3 months ago and the skin over the control panel has a tear in it. Unbelievable!!! Overpriced.

I have used my microwave for 6 months; it is used for occasional defrosting and reheating foods. This model is larger and more powerful than our previous microwave and I must admit I do like the larger size. The only down side and reason it didn't get 5 stars is that the push pad is not sensitive enough and often requires more than one push to activate.

We bought this microwave in November along with a gas stove and dishwasher all Kitchen Aid. Our newly remodeled kitchen was completed 2 weeks ago and the microwave just stopped working. We are waiting to hear from the service department about what they plan to do about the unit. We were told it would be 7-10 days before we would hear back. Not to pleased with that. We hope we will have a functioning unit soon.

Love the Size

We bought this because it is fully wrapped in SS and it will be sitting on the counter until we are able to fully remodel our kitchen. We replaced an over-the-stove microwave. We love the size and features, but are still learning how to use them all. The only "con" I have so far is that the door always sounds like you are slamming it, and if you try to close quietly then you may get a "door not closed" message. We've only had this microwave 2.5 months, but like it so far.
