Touch pad hard to use

This microwave was installed in a new home that we purchased. The touch pad takes an extreme amount of pressure to get them to work. My next step is contacting the appliance store where it was purchased.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

sparking

the microwave starting sparking and when we called an appliance repairman out to fix it he said he could fix it but kitchenaid doesn't sell the replacement parts that he needed. so now i have to go buy a new microwave. also, the repairman said that it was a problem with the microwave, not anything that i did wrong to cause the microwave to spark.

Microwave cooks well but exterior quality lacking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave was installed new on November 14, 2017. It cooks well and has many cooking modes that are nice to have. Our only complaint is the quality of the exterior. The finish has already worn off the button you push to open the door and is very noticeable. Also the keypad buttons have to be pressed quite hard to respond so I'm afraid they may not last too long. We're seniors with no children at home so the microwave hasn't been used a lot.

Nice Until it wasn’t

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After about a year it started malfunctioning. When the door is closed and time is set it will not start. You have to open and close the door till it catches just right. Now the bottom to open the door doesn’t even work you basically have to pry the door open.
