We are disappointed in the quality of the KitchenAid products we purchased for a second home. Only 1 1/2 years old, our microwave is toast. Thank God we bought the extended warranty but we still have to pay for the freight charges and install of new microwave. We've had other repair problems with another KitchenAid product too. That appliance was only 1 year old. We are spending hundreds on dollars buying extended warranties.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I only used this microwave a week and took it back. I did not like how hot the outside of the microwave got. It actually got hotter after it was turned off. So hot I couldn't leave my hand on the outside of it. It was going to be put into a build in cabinet with a trim kit but I was not comfortable with how hot it got to be closed in a box.

So much space. You can fit an entire turkey in this microwave. It's so quiet when running as well. Several of the preset buttons are brilliant. Would definitely purchase this again.

Have used for a month. Like the Sensor Cooking feature. Works well so far, but it is brand new and came with scratches on the button you push to open the door. It was not done by the installers (we watched) and only two live in our house. Did we get a refurbished microwave? We bought what we were told was a brand new microwave from a Kitchenaid licensed distributor.
