Production problems

This is a microwave with nice features and it works fine. However the door opening and closing mechanism is a problem. Opening the door requires a very hard push by your fingers to open the door latch, and upon closing there is enough resistance that getting the door closed requires a hard slam. And this is the second same microwave we received! We returned the first one because this problem was worse --- unacceptably so.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought my kitchen aid Microwave a few ago and just love it. It cooks so evenly unlike the one of a different brand that I have had and re-bought for years. The safety feature on it saying "door" is a welcome addition to make sure there really is something in to micro when you don't immediately put in an item. Fresh veggies cook on SC and are crisp without getting overdone.

I like the quality but hate the fact that I ant shut off the alarm notifying that food is done. Engineering failure.
