The buttons are hard to press and the door does not line up from time to time. Otherwise, it seems to work okay...we only use it for heating up food, water and coffee. I would recommend KitchenAid products based on past experience.

We picked this out for our new house during construction just over 2 years ago. We liked the unit, the extra capacity and the operation. 2 days ago it stopped heating and made a humming sound when the door is closed but not operating. Tried resetting breaker, no dice. Called the local dealer we got it from, he said it could be fixed but probably just as cheap to buy a new one. Disappointing since we love all of our other kitchenaid appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
