I bought this portable dishwasher a month ago and it is awesome! Works great and is quiet! Definitely worth the money. I wish I would have bought it sooner!

Because of my kitchen design, I must have a portable dishwasher. I was delighted to find one (that's not easy!) bearing the Whirlpool name which I respect. There is an astonishing difference in its performance compared to my old one. The most noticeable difference is the appearance of the glassware. I had thought that my glasses were "etched" into cloudiness, but after the first run through my new dishwasher, they came out sparkling like new! (I am not saying that for Whirlpool's benefit--ask my friends and family who get to hear glassware updates regularly!). I would never have thought I would be glad to have to replace an appliance, but I am certainly glad that I did. Thank you, Whirlpool!

Not bad I guess?

Very expensive compared to built ins. I was fairly surprised at how large it was. So far it is working just fine, however, I am not happy about how all the fixtures are plastic. I'm afraid that after time they will break because they're not quality fixtures. For such an expensive Appliance I would have hoped it would have been metal. Also when I received my dishwasher, the entire bottom of the box was soaking wet which concerns me. Luckily it didn't leak or anything. Hopefully it works as well as I hope it does. I may advise to get the extended warranty.

Whirlpool Portable Dishwasher Gets The Job Done

I purchased this appliance several weeks ago, and have had fun getting acquainted. I like its quiet and effective performance. It would be helpful if the unit had handle[s] to move the unit since it is a portable. This Whirlpool replaced a Kitchen Aid portable which gave 30 years of excellent service.

Good dishwasher

I've had this dishwasher for a few weeks. It definitely has some good features. It has lots of "head room" between the racks, and it does a good job cleaning. It's also extremely easy to move and easy to see when you need to add a rinse product. However, I REALLY don't like the silverware holder. My old dishwasher, a different brand, had a compact holder, and one section had a hinged top to flip down so things like knives with small points didn't stick through the bottom and drag when you slide the rack in and out. That's a minor thing but a real annoyance to me. I've even had silverware flip out the side when I move the rack in and out; I've never used a dishwasher before that did that. The holder is also really long, so it's harder to pick up and carry to the silverware drawer to unload. I also wish the display would indicate when it switches to the dry cycle. I have some items that have to be removed at the beginning of the dry cycle, and I can't tell at a glance when that happens. And I don't know if it's just me, but I find the hoses hard to pull in and out. So overall the function of it is good, but I'm not crazy about some of the design features.
