Buyer Beware

Do not waste your money on this model. It does not dry (with heated dry feature turned on), there is no rinse aid receptacle (which the service dept states is a prerequisite for adequate drying!) Even with fully rinsing all my dishes before placing them in this machine, I sometimes have to run the load again to get the dishes clean. I grew up in a household that was a beta site for a large dishwasher mfg company. I know my dishwashers, and this is not what you want.

Love this dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this portable dishwasher two weeks ago after my previous nearly 20 year old Whirlpool portable dishwasher finally stopped working. I've come to trust the Whirlpool brand as highly reliable and wanted to replace the old one with a Whirlpool. This dishwasher has a soil sensor, which was not in my previous one. I was a little bit skeptical, I admit. I tested its capabilities with a sink full of really hard sticky plates and serving dishes that had been sitting in my sink for a couple of days after a crazy busy weekend. To my amazement, EVERY bit of food, ALL the hard stuck-on gunk even in the corners of the casserole dish was sparkling clean!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Whirlpool Portable Dishwasher with Soil Sensor is Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed a portable dishwasher to replace an older model. There aren't many to choose from any more. Fortunately, our local appliance dealer had this Portable Dishwasher with Soil Sensor on their floor. The price was right. After having used it for a month, I've realized that it not only works as advertised it goes above and beyond my expectations.

Horrible dishwasher! No place for rinse aid, dishes are always dirty even after several washes. I still have to hand wash everything after it has been through the dishwasher. Will never buy another Whirlpool and this one was the 3rd I've owned. Dishwasher is very poor quality!

Disappointed

I have used Cascade Platinum and Finish tablets but the tablets are not dissolving and the dishes have a coating left on them. Tried the 1 hr cycle and the Normal cycle and this problem occurs in both. Water temperature is 140F.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
