Not perfect, but probably the best portable dishwasher for t

This dishwasher has a nice "countertop" that has proven very useful, and we even use it occasionally as an "island" for additional prep space in our smallish kitchen. It rolls very smoothly and feels solidly built, and the exterior finish is basic but nice. We really like that there is a sanitize cycle, as it makes bottle cleaning much easier and safer. The quick connect is also pretty easy to use. Downsides are that it doesn't always get tough dishes perfectly clean (e.g. dried cheese and pasta sauces should be pre-scrubbed in the sink), but this seems to be a universal problem with dishwashers. The door and racks don't operate as smoothly as I would have hoped: the door takes some effort to open, and it will stay in place if you leave it partially open, rather than swinging the rest of the way down or shut; likewise, the racks need to be pushed or pulled all the way to where you want them -- you can't just "bat" them and expect them to slide the rest of the way on their own. The bottom rack also misses the track on the door sometimes (again, a fairly common dishwasher problem). The dishwasher is quieter than some monsters we've had in the past but still somewhat noisy, and the hose and drain connection to the sink can be noisy, particularly when filling or draining. The sink connection also "dribbles" water while in operation (the quick-connect is by no means water-tight) -- it doesn't spray, but it probably means at least a gallon of water or more is wasted every time the dishwasher is run. Also, the quick connect that you are required to install on your kitchen faucet has screens but no aerator, so water comes out essentially the same as it would from a garden hose with no attachment: in a thick, fast stream. We wish there were an additional quick connect to add an aerator when the dishwasher is not in use, as the garden hose stream is wasteful and much more "splashy" when doing dishes by hand. The cycles are also surprisingly long: we expected 45 minutes to an hour, but they seem to last more like 2 hours (even just the regular cycle with no heated dry). One additional thing to keep in mind is that the manufacturer recommends removing and sealing off any accessory "spray hoses" that you may have installed in your kitchen sink, to avoid any risk of the hose bursting. We find the spray hose is too useful to get rid of, though, and we simply retrofitted ours to add a ball valve at the connection from the faucet to the spray hose; when we want to use the dishwasher, we just flip the lever to cut off water to the hose. This is not the fanciest, nicest dishwasher you can buy, but we believe it is one of the best portable options on the market right now, and unless you opt for a truly "top-end" under-sink dishwasher, you will find the same disadvantages in most other dishwashers.

I've only had the portable dishwasher for a month, but it's easy to hook up and does a decent job. Baked-on food requires pre-scrubbing, and drying may leave some water. It's worth it though.

We don't have under counter space for a dishwasher, this portable dish washer is great for our situation. It easily hooks up and when not in use just roll it aside!

I have had my new dishwasher for about a month. I have other Whirlpool appliances and bought my daughter and son-in-law a new stove for their Christmas. However, I am not as pleased with my dishwasher as I have been with my other Whirlpool appliances. The door has to be slammed very hard to close and it doesn't seemed to be made nearly as well as my old one.Thank you,

although I work in the medical field, there are fewer things that I find more Icky than washing dishes by hand. My husband has been washing dishes. (Yes, he is a good man :-) ) When we moved into our rental home and found that it did not have a dishwasher, I finally made the decision to buy one and we could not be more pleased. The Whirlpool portable dishwasher is quiet, super easy to use, efficient, and we couldn't be happier with the quality and effectiveness. It is a must have!

The only thing I don't like is that it could be a little noise. Other than that it's great.

Have owned for about a month and a half. Have used all settings including the 1 hour quick wash. Everything seems to come out clean on all settings. #1 tip though is to rinse all dishes before putting them in. Like any dishwasher if you have seriously caked on food only a good hard scrubbing will get that off.
