Nice Looking

Nice looking replaced a 1986 model. The new unit has a back cover which isn't designed with a counter piece behind it in mind. The cover interferes with sliding the unit in and needed to be reconfigured.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Stove

We bought this stove about a month ago. Installation was fairly easy. One issue I did have with the installation was the amount the oven sticks out in the back. I'm assuming if you have to cut your counter top to install the oven, you are going to have a support board that goes across the wall behind the stove. The back of the stove that sticks out doesn't allow the stove to go all the way to the wall (bad design if you ask me). I ended up having to notch out the board for the stove. Fits like a glove now.Other than the installation issue, the stove has operated great and is easy to keep clean.

The range I had died, I was in a little bit of a time crunch to replace it. I had an idea of the features I wanted; a slide - in, glass top (knew that I didn't want the coil burners), stainless steal, self cleaning and reasonably priced.Since I had purchased my home many years ago with all kitchen appliances I had never had the opportunity to shop for kitchen appliances before.All my needs were met and I have been thrilled with the ease of use.I have been very pleased with this product, and have enjoyed cooking with it.

Easy cleanup!

I've never had a flat top stove... Till now. I love how quick and easy it is to clean up after spills! It does a good job at heating and cooling down after done cooking:) The option to have a smaller burner on the bigger burner spots is pretty handy too. I also like how the stove top rests on the countertop so there isn't a gap between the counter and stove!! I guess the only complaint I have and it would actually, maybe stop me from buying this again, is, the stove top already has scratches on it!!! I'm not talking about little scratches but, big scrapes! I was really surprised to find these as I assumed that the glass used was a tough glass resistant to scratches:( my sister has a older model with the grayish top and she doesn't have any scrapes but here is me with my four month old stove with scrapes! Boohoo! WHIRLPOOL!! Fix this and you have a winner!:)

This is a great range. The top is black so it has to be kept clean, but it is so much better than the gray one I had before. It has a large oven which is very nice.
