durable, easy and quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a stainless steel bowl, but wanted something clear so i can see how the ingredients are mixing so absolutely brilliant in that aspect.
I used the bowl to make pizza claim and was able to see how much to knead the dough and was able to poof it in the fridge using the lid.
Essentially it does what you imagine, but the quality is what amazes you it would probably last you as long as your kitchen aid mixer

Glass mixing bowl best buy yet!

It’s my first time using a glass bowl and have found it a lot more practical as it helps me keep my eye on my dough or whatever else I am mixing to ensure I’m not over beating it. Great buy and I will buy again!!

Looks good but useless for dough

I can't understand why the metal bowl can lock firmly into many positions but this one only locks so that the lip or handle are bang up against the back of the mixer. And bang up it does banging and clunking while mixing. I don't want a broken bowl like so many others have said online, so I've gone back to the metal bowl for anything firm.

Broke the first time I washed it after use

I bought this bowl, washed and dried it by hand and then used it. As I was hand washing the bowl in warm water, a glass slipped into the sink and knocked the bowl; only from a height of approximately 5cm. The bowl broke into 5 pieces! (The glass was fine and is regular untoughened glass). The bowl was not slammed, dropped or banged.. simply got a light knock from another glass. A huge shock, as the reason I bought it was that it is made from tempered, ie toughened glass.
Extremely disappointed.

Huge bowl, easily broken

My glass bowl chipped in the dishwasher only months after having it. Kitchenaid said to ignore the "dishwasher safe" labelling and hand wash instead but I find it too heavy to hand wash properly. They replaced the bowl which was a bonus but have recently bought stainless steel just in case.
The glass bowl is excellent for watching what you're making but Kitchenaid boasts robust products and this one just doesn't cut it for me.

Solid, locks into the Kitchenaid stand mixer perfectly, handles larger batches of sourdough and pasta (what I bought it for) and can be used to prove my sourdough in (as stainless steel shouldn't be used for that). Really good quality and a bowl I'll use for years for sure.
