[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited for a long time to buy this bowl as at first it was readily available and I was overjoyed to receive it. What is that saying about being careful of the things you wish for ... I am an arthritic retiree and I didn't take notice of the weight of this bowl and although it is great to see what I'm mixing I love that But handling the bowl with a cake mix in it when pouring into a baking pan or even a kugelhof mould is impossible for me without help. So sadly I'll not be using it too much and will revert to the standard aluminium bowl more often than not. Not the fault of KitchenAid just something I never gave a thought too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Broke mid Pavlova

I absolutely loved this bowl, and had it literally just on 12 months and it cracked all around in the middle of making a Christmas Pav. So devastated. I would still like another one, but it is really disappointing that the bowl isn't durable. Whilst I did think the lid was a great addition, I never actually used it in practise.

Bowl Broke

This is a good sized bowl that I've used for bread dough but last night it cracked while I was mixing dough. We did have a small chip from the dishwasher (despite it being dishwasher safe), but the crack was on the other side. I'm disappointed that this quality item cracked like that

I bought this with my machine and it broke just where you turn it into place. I loved it and boy did I cry I just wish it was stronger

Don't buy the glass bowl

I have a stand up mixer, still within warranty and the glass has slightly chipped away when the machine is turned on high. Impossible to make dough. Very disappointing! I now have to buy a new bowl and it will not be glass!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You may need to adjust the beater to bowl clearance, there are instructions in the user and care guide or here on our website - https://www.kitchenaid.com.au/faqs?keys=clearance.
