Chipped easily

I used to sell kitchenAid mixers. So I’m super love the product and could never understand how people would break the glass bowls. I wash washed my glass bowl. Stored my mixer in an appliance cupboard and then one day noticed the lip was cracked, then the bottom cracked. Never out in dishwasher and used with utmost care. It’s a great bowl but heavy. I wouldn’t recommend for people with wrist or arm issues. Replaced the bowl now with the metal 4:8 bowl.

Glass bowl hazardous

I love my kitchen aid. Was so proud of it. Until one day i was making mixing some cake and i noticed gushing with blood. With a quick analysis I noticed my bowls rim was chipped and I must've not noticed the chip until i was holding the glass bowl and saw the blood gushing out my finger. The rim chipping was quite hazardous and my laceration was quite deep. I don't even know what caused my bowl chipping as I was so careful with it. I am I glad I saw these other reviews as I am surprised that am not the only one who has had the issue. You would think the price you pay for this item would not allow for this quality! It's such a shame but I am glad i didnt have a deeper wound! I want to get a new bowl but i am thinking is the next one a dud too??!! If this a regular thing there should be a recall because it is very dangerous!

Doesn't look as pretty as i thought

I bought this bowl for making cakes and bread dough. I run a small bakery business and i was hoping that this glass bowl would look good for my social media content video. Just in my first use, the handle breaks :(
It breaks my heart since i'm paying so much for an aesthetic look but has no function on it. Would've been perfect if only the quality of this bowl is better

Shattered to pieces

Using room temperature butter to make icing... the glass shattered across my kitchen and dining room spraying glass and butter over my babies in the next room! No excuse for poor quality from a "reputable brand". I have used this glass bowl less than a dozen times.

Easy to loose the base

I love my Kitchenaid mixer, which I call my work-horse and was keen to have a second bowl, so purchased this glass bowl. However, it comes with a detachable base, which has been lost. I have searched for a replacement and even contacted Kitchenaid, but unable to replace it. So for this reason, I wouldn’t recommend, as you can’t se the glass bowl without the base.

No more glass bowls

I have had 3 glass bowls now and they have all broken easily either trying to take them off the mixer or washing them. Very disappointing as they are not cheap to replace. I will be getting stainless steel in the future.

Would not recommend- breaking hazard

I only purchased my mixer with the glass bowl 3 months ago. Whilst using this bowl for the third time It smashed and sent glass and mess over the bench and floor. Very disappointing and dangerous.
