[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have own this Kitchen Aid mixer for over 30 years and it is still working great. I purchased 4 more bowels, so I can make several batches of cookies and not have to clean the bowel each time. You can put the speed up to 10 and the mixer will not move on the counter. Also, it was one of the last made in this country. Mine is gray and made out of steel, I have to have my husband lift it for me, if I have to move it. However, I keep it on my counter in a corner, and put a dish towel under it, so all I have to do is pull it out. Mine is older and the new ones have larger bowels, so if I have to buy another one, I would buy the larger one. Also, I have a Kitchen Aid hand 7 speed mixer I use for small jobs, when I don't need a the larger mixer
Would recommend this type of mixer (handle lifts and not the head) to anyone who is looking for a great mixer.
Kitchen Aid, please keep making these mixers, as they are the best one the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the $$$, it's a lovely little mixer. I dislike the non-tilting head, and the bowl can be a bit of a hassle to remove and put back on. Overall, though, it gets the job done. Easy to use and easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I obtained my mixer because of difficulty managing the use of hand mixers or hand mixing recipes due to two auto-immune diagnoses. I love my stand mixer for that purpose. The kitchen Aid products are built to last. They cut prep time down to the point I don't feel utterly exhausted after making a recipe. However, for me I find the plastic splash guard more of an annoyance piece then practical and effective. Easy to clean and maintain. Looking forward to exploring the different add-ons next.
